HOMELAND: Suspect arrested in series of fires, officials say (UPDATE2) plus (update 3) May 24 2014

A series of nearly a dozen fires in the community of Homeland may have come to an end Friday, May 20, after a 42-year-old man who investigators believe was behind them was arrested.

HOMELAND: Resident charged with setting three fires last week

The Homeland community, which is bisected by the 74 highway, has been hit by nine other fires beginning with one April 30 that destroyed the Community First Church of God, across a side street from the Homeland Avenue fire. A second church was damaged in another fire. No one has been hurt.

Aispuro was not charged in any of the other nine fires.
