I made this and am happy with the result. I also learned if you put egg on the exposed pie crust it keeps it from burning.
The pickles are dill. The flavor is subtle and not too salty. The pieces are irregular shapes some round some oblong. The oblong shapes expose the seeds. Round pickle slices never feature the seeds like an oblong slice is able to.
The coffee is sweet without sugar. It's a nice change to my regular coffee.

Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Add oats and raisins; mix well. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes
