Frontier and the DMV

Frontier sent me a bill saying I owe $320.00. Last month my bill was $98.00.  I called and was told "Sorry your name doesn't show up on the account.  I can't give you any information".  I said "My name shows up on the payment so I won't be able to pay you". But wait he said " If you give me your date of birth and social security number I can add your name to the account".  "You can match my voice to my name address date of birth and social security number"?  I asked and added "That is simply amazing they give you that much authority and all you need is all of my personal identity info".

The DMV is holding an I.D card hostage.  The ransom note said.  "We have taken your paid in full I.D. card to an undisclosed location.  We are employees of the State of California.  We are incompetent and we can do whatever we want because we don't have to answer to anyone.  We have scheduled you another appointment with us to resolve this matter.  We will take another picture.  The picture will be sent before a board to determine if your face conforms to the new strict standards of what is an appropriate face in California.  Your face may be rejected.  Don't contact us for 60 days.  After 60 days you will need to contact us by phone and make an appointment for us to call you back. If you get hung up on, call back and reschedule a call back appointment.  If your face didn't meet California Standards you will be given another appointment to get a new picture taken.  If your I.D. card expires before your face is approved you will have to start the process over and pay your renewal fees.  The first three pictures are free. You will be charged a sitting fee after the 3rd rejection.  We have extreme mood swings and will be flipping the emotional coin to determine if you can have this issue resolved or not.  You are at our mercy.  You will be subjected to a long wait in hard plastic chairs. We overbook appointments during peak hours because of our backward thinking and ignorance.  You will wait in line with walk in customers.  In the confined quarters there may be contagious disease, screaming children, rude employees.  Overflow parking is a block away.

I worked there 8 years.  What I liked about the job was buried too deep to recover.  Left behind for social engineers to pay consultants to study.  Piece together the findings of a lost civilization. Going back to a place where there is a vivid memory.  Once the landscape has changed there is no recreating the time the space the feeling.  The change in awareness makes it impossible to not know.  With new understanding comes new sensations.  You can't hold onto both at the same time.  The places the imagination can create.  The complexity each moment carries comes without enough time to allow the development of certainty.  Not stopping long enough to get used to.  Familiar. Thick. Crux.  The place in a wound that is the center of a scar.

My most memorable memory at that job.  I don't recall any details of that day other than:  I was cashiering.  A long line of customers.  Barely enough time to look up and see who I was helping.  A guy with a face tattoo on his left forearm.  I asked is that Jesus?  He didn't answer with words.  So I looked into his eyes.  He smiled with a surprised look on his face, surprised that I knew.  I said Catholics honor the Holy Face.  Now I've heard of people claiming to see auras and colors coming off people.  What I saw surrounding this guy didn't fit not one description I've ever heard.  Colorless like the ripples of heat on a hot surface.  There was a discernible warmth in his presence.  Perfectly balanced male energy.  A rare gem. A faith renewing experience.

When the Pope says:

"You aren't Christian if..."  This should trouble people but it doesn't seem to.  It should send shivers down the spines of the modern world.  Instead it is allowed, tolerated, even encouraged.  Breaking bread and saying this is my body should be the most edgy thing the Catholic clergy should be heard repeating.  Talking publicly about who and what defines a Christian.  Talking about being above the laws of a country.  Talking about personal should's and shouldn't from the Vatican on down the hierarchy should zip their lips.  The Eucharist.  Do this in memory of me.

Wear this in memory of the burned, the tortured, the drowned, the cut up, the hung...

Lordy I couldn't believe my eyes:  Pope Francis is quoted as saying  

“Many powerful people don’t want peace because they live off war.”

Is he saying what I think he is saying?  The way to peace is not through a relationship with Jesus Christ our savior.  Is he saying it is human will that holds the key to peace.   It sounds like blaspheme.   The Pope needs to decide if he wants to posture himself politically or ecclesiastically.  The Pope needs to decide if Christ is the center of the church or man.  If humans don't need Jesus than humans don't the Pope, or the Catholic Church.  

Someone needs to hold his feet to the fire and make him explain what on earth he is talking about.  Throwing around the word Peace like some drugged out hippie.

Especially when he is calling beheaded and burned Christians modern day martyrs.

I took this picture hoping to find the name of this bush.  I liked the perfectly positioned hubcap with the same V shape as the bush leaves.

This palm tree looks like it has bunny ears.  

A Tree Grows in Hemet, no I never read the book, and palm trees technically are a grass.  This palm frond looks like Cthulhu's tentacles come to devour the citizens of Hemet.  

Occasionally you see a shoe, or a clothing item in a parking lot.  This is all the evidence I need to jump to a conclusion.

Here is a different type of fringe work. The focal point was the pill bug, and the bride and groom are at the fringe.   This picture works either way.  It was their wedding at the domicile of the pill bug.
I'm pleased with how these images showed up.  I will be playing around with this fringe idea some more.
