learnt and unlearnt

I followed the instructions how I thought I heard them. Where I was planning to turn right on the street to the place I was going. Road Construction signs prevented me. I drove around the block. When I arrived at the place the person I spoke with didn't know what I was looking for. However he had some useful information that provided me additional unexpected help. I drove to the next place I thought could be my destination. I parked in the wrong lot and was entirely blocked on all sided to get to the office. But I had to walk three different pathways to realize all were blocked. I couldn't tell by looking because each pathway blockage was hidden around a corner. I took it as a sign I was in the wrong place. When I made it back home. I had to search the internet 30 mins. to discover the actual address. I was way off track. I recalled how I felt confused reading the direction signs placed on the road by the construction company. Had convinced myself a sign was giving stupid a direction. I took a picture of the sign because I thought it was stupid. A few hours later I looked at the image. I was in a different frame of mind and not frustrated by the road construction and having to explain what I was looking for. I was again confused reading the sign because I realized it was giving the correct direction. Not at all what I was imagining earlier. It was the same sign with the same wording, but earlier I was convincing myself everything was going wrong. I think I talked myself into believing no matter what that sign said it was wrong. I feel it was the surfacing of a learned thinking habit I've developed early in life. (when one thing is wrong everything is wrong)
Certainly was a welcome learning experience.
Plus I found out about another place to get food that will help offset the soaring grocery prices.
Amen
