Get a grip

Entertainment doesn't have to represent anything in particular.  Entertaining doesn't have to hinge on anything believable in the real world.  To be able to transcend reality. A place above and out of reach of the everyday regular world people find themselves. That is entertainment. Entertainers aren't required to be anything but human. Trying to create a brand, representing an image that isn't the job of an entertainer.  The ability to differentiate when you leave a movie theatre that just played an engrossing film once you arrive and settle into your usual surroundings.  It should be possible to be as attentive to say your neighbors, co-workers, commuters stuck in traffic.  Many of us don't consider those actual worldly encounters as dynamic enough to feel part of.  Like the full sensory participation we allow ourselves to indulge during an artistic performance.

When the entertainer stops performing. The actor should symbolically die in mind of the audience.  It's necessary to escape the escape.
