spider silk
A spinneret is a silk-spinning organ of a spider or the larva of an insect. Some adult insects also have spinnerets, such as those borne on the forelegs of Embioptera. Spinnerets are usually on the underside of a spider's abdomen, to the rear. While most spiders have six spinnerets, some have two, four, or eight.
They move independently and in concert.

The Bear Flag

Recently I had a dream the Bear on the Flag of California came to life and started attacking people. It acted friendly at first. It would demolish any sort of cage it was captured in. It proved impossible to kill. It looked ravenous, but never ate any of it's victims. It moved at a slow and steady untiring pace. Everyone would Oooo and Ahhhh at first, until it would swat and knock down someone intent on pinning them down making them immobile.
