Soap Box Soap Opera ... the bubbles

I saw a news story about a political ad. It reminded me of the Jerry Springer era of television. The Ad features the estranged mother of one of the candidates. In the ad the mom is calling the daughter a liar. I don't live in Ohio so my opinion doesn't matter. However I am intrigued by what is being communicated and how it effects people and their social persona.

The political strategy is attacking the candidate claim of being a problem solver and working across the aisle. The mom could be an exploited mentally ill woman. The people rallying behind the female candidate are highlighting their choice as a survivor victim and ticking all the boxes. Homeless, sexually abused, neglected, tent dwelling and forced to stay in a dark basement. It's like the chorus is singing Behold Our Hero.  It has become impossible to see genuine human beings in the modern world soap box soap opera.  The writers, the editors, the algorithms. Oh and the stages of delusion that get mistaken for imagination in creative writing that is being cultivated in academia, art, entertainment.

It has been my uneducated experience in life, the pattern of a sexual abuse claim is met with what did you do to cause this. Calling someone a liar is done because the accuser won't admit they participated. Educated people won't speak this plainly because clarity stops the bubble machine that cleans the dirty laundry.
