If a car drove 80 miles traveling 55mph how long before it would run into a traffic jam in California?

How does that saying go....If you have nothing nice to say

STFU
cause typing in caps is an acceptable form of aggression.  No matter what anyone says about.  However, learning to calm down and relax as you age is beneficial to your health.

different types of flip flops

zories, straw zories, thongs, black rubber sole thongs, wedge heel thong, flojos, embellishing flips flops can be fun, so is stretching the truth.

Synchlora aerata liquoraria

They attach bits of the plant tissue on which they are feeding along their backs. The species overwinters as a partially grown larva.

I don't know why I found this amusing

An odd thing I heard a man say yesterday.

"I don't want to have to ask her for anything."

Is this how men are feeling?  Vurnerable.  They don't want to need women.

toilet seat cover

I saw this toilet seat cover on the sidewalk in front of a business. Obviously I was surprised that's why I snapped a picture. I was beginning to think Hemet was on a downward spiral. Apparently people that crap in parking lots now have access to ass gaskets. Reassuring to know people can still be civilized.

Soffit and glide

Bring in the clowns

The most common saying I hear lately is:
Hemet used to be a great place to live.  Hemet was a place where people slowed down.  It used to be a stark contrast to the way life was lived in other places.  It has lost it's distinguishing features.  Hemet now feels like an overpopulated ghost town.  Chains rattling and creaky doors like the stereotypical haunted house.  People walking around in fright wigs living as if they are paid performers.  Yes paid performers trying to convince people they are paupers.  Overfed paupers with cellphones.  The atmosphere that has been created is tragic and laughable.  The charade is played out like a B movie. Cult status with bad acting, stage lights in the scene; the works.  I'm expecting the credits to roll soon because this movie has been playing far too long.  There can't be that much film on the reel.

I remember when

things used to be different. Now that things are different. I say I remember when.

The lost art of sarcasm

The full effect of sarcasm shouldn't be felt like a smack across the face.  It should reveal itself slowly.  Becoming a continual reminder over a period of time.  Choosing a reaction that is caustic and harsh, should be dismissed as ignorance cause by exasperation/frustration. When a moment arises within the confines of good taste to reach through and make a connection this is where the art of sarcasm hides. It takes vigilance, patience, and kindness.  It's difficult to find oppurtunities to develop the skill when surrounded by agreeable peers.  Too often cultural barriers misconstrue lightheartedness.  It's a rare oppurtunity and many times not worth the effort.

on being understood

being understood has no value...this is what the majority wants.  If someday you wish for common ground look around and realize you have exactly what you want.

Gettin Ye Olde Pawn Shoppe

The Hemet Council wants upscale businesses along the corridor of Florida Ave.  I doubt there's a waiting list of upscale businesses trying open in Hemet.  In California shoplifting is no longer considered a crime.  What Hemet needs are businesses that cater to armed robbers, drug addicts, and prostitutes.  A little dose of reality.  Dreams come true it can be difficult to accept the fact this is what some peoples dreams look like.

power outages throughout the valley

I heard it was caused by a Red-tail hawk.  He was smoking a cigar given to him by his friend.
It was an exploding cigar.  Three puffs and kablamo.

Tarantula

This guy showed up on the porch. Looking for a mate. I took his picture and released him. They are easy to catch and easy to release. I didn't want my dogs to spot him because he would have made them curious and they could've squished him.

In downtown Riverside

There are statues memorializing historic figures.  Dr. King, Cesar Chavez,  An Chang-ho.  The larger than life statues with their fixed gaze ignoring the street people.  A few who seemed very willing to interact with passersby.  One fell asleep next to a Styrofoam food container, his vomit, and two empty alcohol bottles, in front of a fancy restaurant. The others seemed to have physical disabilities.  Street people have always gravitated to this area from what I remember.  I have a cautious uneasiness around street people.  A few seem fragile.  Intermixed with mobile and predatory individuals that play the game well.  I do wonder if there is an effect in the situation.  Ignoring it (them) doesn't change anything.  Trying to help seems to create a bigger need.  I suppose it is a difficult task for each of us to know our limits and our potential, and end up doing what we do.
