A 23-year-old man suspected of stabbing two women – one fatally – in their Temecula homes last week was on parole for assault and had been categorized by authorities as posing a high risk for violence, court records show.
Wilysha Gardner, 21, of Temecula, was found dead at a house on Nellie Court around 9 a.m. A 20-year-old woman had been stabbed – and survived – about six hours earlier in her apartment across town.

Disturbing image
I've been noticing new street people in the area. This is one of two women that sleep on the walkway in front a closed business in Hemet.
Empty threat
The sign goes up to deter illegal behavior. The sign is vandalized, nothing is done, weakens the threat. I thought it would have been funny if the sticker said (under "Violators may be")
Fed, housed, clothed, and given free medical and dental care.
Tarantula
Last night I saw a Tarantula crossing the road. It's common to see the males wandering. First time I saw a female out walking around. It was kind of exciting.

Rock Concert in Homeland last night
A Rock Concert ended abruptly after only a few songs. The performer smashed his guitar into a street sign and walked off into the bushes. The trouble began when coyote, started chasing rabbit, and skunk sprayed the crowd of gathering wild life. The artist thought it was time to leave when neighborhood dogs started barking, dispatching the crowd.

If they want kids to become critical thinkers, forget using math. Try showing them all the deceptive ways that the marketing industry uses their emotions to overpower their brains and compel them to make stupid decisions in their lives, for the purposes of someone else. Try getting them to see how they will never learn the value of sacrifice while being constantly told they deserve to indulge. Try making them into responsible citizens rather than the next round of consumers. They learn plenty of math along the way.

I wonder if we will ever see a show that highlights cooking in 3rd World Countries. There are reality shows for all sorts of things. I think that people that have to make due with what is given to them in bulk, have to come up with ingenious ways to feed their families. It will get Americans used to the idea of being a 3rd world nation so the inevitable transition will be less complicated.

Mom Pays Off Every Student's Balance Following Denial of School Lunch to Son
Here's a feel good story, but it needs to be followed up with an article written by an investigative journalist.
They need to find out who authorized the posting of the kids names, on what I presume was school district letterhead. Is there an actual policy that mandates after several attempts to contact parents of the balance due the student will have their name posted. They need to find out what policy authorizes food to be taken away and thrown in the trashcan. If there is no policy the staff member needs to be retrained and instructed to follow school district policy. If there is a policy it should be in writing and available for parents and students to view. This was not just the actions of one staff member at the school. Unless the cafeteria workers operate as an entirely separate entity than the rest of the school. How have school districts become extremely powerful and above question that journalists are afraid to question them? They need to check out the school board minutes as well. School Districts operate more like secret societies rather than institutes of learning.

Fire is a consequence: Mother Nature is coming to get you, LOOK OUT
The Press Enterprise ran this article yesterday. They put a large image of a deer that looks to be in distress. If the image isn't photoshopped and the deer is actually that close to those large flames, that deer is most certainly dead. The paper doesn't mention the deer, where the pictures of the fire were taken, or a cite a photographer's name. Odd how the online version of the this story shows a satellite view of smoke from an October 2003 fire it cites /U.S. FOREST SERVICE/NASA under the image.
It calls fire a consequence of climate change.
Judge it!
