Bloomin' mad

Funny that bloomin' is an alternate swear word.  Realizing nature, and seeing flowers at the end of winter can accelerate your senses at warp speed.  Makes ya feel crazy facing past thoughts, and current mainstays.

I never understood the Occupy Movement

If they would have used the zombie theme.  It would have made more sense to me.

Protesters affiliated with the Occupy Las Vegas movement (L-R) Dan Cooper, Bob Joyce and Jim Strohl, all of Nevada, participate in a "zombie walk" on the Las Vegas Strip October 30, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Paying the ferryman

Today was eventful

Besides the earthquake
I saw a car in a ditch at the donut shop by Juniper Flats Rd.  It looked like they didn't realize the ditch was there trying to pull out onto the Hwy.  It's an irrigation ditch and isn't common for people used to curb and gutters.
I saw cars smash into each other in my rear view mirror between Menifee and Palomar.  SCE was doing work on the shoulder and closed the lane.  I saw one car sliding sideways trying to stop.  I saw smoke from the car behind it locking up the tires.  It was hard to make sense of what was happening in the mirror until I saw them getting closer to me.  Thankfully I had space in front of me to move forward.
Road work on the 215 Fwy adding a lane under two bridges.  With the bushes removed it gives an entire new view to an area I've driven past many years.  It's the first time I saw dirt and the short chain link fence hidden underneath the oleanders.

Seeing new faces walking around the neighborhood.  None seem friendly.  Mostly they look awkward, and overly self-conscious.  Could be the new environment, or their typical MO.  It's hard to tell the difference anymore.

Earthquake

Just now.

storm today

Crossed the deep water on the high part of a speed bump to get to my car.  I hadn't realize it hailed until I saw the accumulated ice.

Talking to the wall will make it a window

Everything is wonderful as long as good people obey the rules.  When good people stop being predictable bad people don't know how to act.  Even though their common mantra is "everyone's doing it".  It becomes obvious they live in a state of bliss amongst the good people of civil society unable to carry the torch because their hands aren't accustomed to such a task.  Busying themselves perfecting the words of victimhood...talking and talking and talking.

Strangling a Tradition

There is a tradition.  I don't know what it's called.  The first time I saw evidence of it was when I was 8 years old.  I was visiting a school friend.  Her neighbor had a kitten.  It came over to us in the yard.  The kitten had a string tied and knotted around it's neck.  So it would slowly be strangled as it grew.
In my neighborhood there are several families that constantly get puppies.  They always put collars on them (without license tags).   Puppies and kittens are seen as toys for children.  The collar is to choke them as they out grow cute.   Backyard breeders, and puppy mills know their target market very well.

The Chosen People

How can then people of Los Angeles
think they are the Chosen People when
their river is lined with concrete
